BEIRUT (Reuters) – Seven people, including two journalists, were killed on Tuesday in two separate strikes near Lebanon’s border with Israel, several local media reported.

The first bombing, which left three people dead, took place near the town of Tair Harfa, and the second near the city of Tyre, targeted a vehicle killing four people, according to the National News Agency (ANI) .

The Al Mayadeen news channel, for which the two journalists worked, claims that the first airstrike was carried out by Israeli forces who deliberately targeted them.

No comment could immediately be obtained from the Israeli army, which has regularly clashed with Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon since the attack by Hamas on October 7.

It was during these fighting that a journalist working for Reuters died on October 13. According to Reporters Without Borders, the artillery fire responsible for his death came from Israel.
