Seven-month-old baby found in critical condition in nursery above suspicion

A sad and mysterious affair. On September 21, a 30-year-old woman was arrested after a critically ill 7-month-old baby was found at a nursery in Chadderton, Metropolitan Borough of Oldham. According to Manchester Evening News, Greater Manchester Police were called at around 3.45pm by EMS. The little girl, in critical condition, was rushed to hospital, where she remains in a state of “serious but stable“. She would suffer in particular from a serious brain injury which will leave her with after-effects.

At the Kids Around The Clock nursery, A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and cruelty to a child. Quickly released on bail, she remains under close surveillance. The parents of the little girl, in shock, have been taken care of by the authorities and are receiving psychological support.

The nursery closed until further notice

At the same time, Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident. “Our social workers took action as soon as they learned what had happened, and are now working with Ofsted and Greater Manchester Police to understand the circumstances of this very worrying situation involving a child.said a spokesman for Oldham Council. We cannot comment at this time due to ongoing investigations, but continue to do everything we can to keep the children safe.”

The Kids Around The Clock crèche has been closed for the duration of the investigations. All new registrations have also been frozen.
