A 20-year-old had an accident in Chur in the Brambrüeschwald. As the Graubünden cantonal police wrote, he was busy mending a hiking trail on Wednesday during a mountain forest project.
At lunchtime he fell into a steep ravine. He suffered several fractures in the process.
Rega in action
With his cell phone he could call the leader of the group. He organized the group to search for the casualty and notified the rescue workers.
The man was found around 1 p.m. A Rega crew dropped the doctor on the injured person in a winch operation. After initial medical care, the casualty was recovered using a winch and flown to the nearby Cantonal Hospital in Graubünden. (man)
