A German (33) had several guardian angels on Monday in the Tyrolean Sellraintal. During a descent, the man released a snow slab. Although the winter sports athlete was washed over a rocky step in the avalanche, he remained uninjured.

The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. “While descending over the Kälberkar, the 33-year-old triggered a dry snow slab at 2,650 meters in steep terrain,” says the executive. The width of the crack was probably between 30 and 50 meters. The German triggered his avalanche airbag and was dragged around 150 meters in altitude. He finally came to rest on the surface, buried. “Although the 33-year-old was washed over a rock step, he was not injured,” investigators continued. The man suffered a shock, but the German suffered a shock. His companions immediately made an emergency call. The winter sports athlete was rescued by the crew of the emergency medical helicopter “Martin 2” and flown into the valley.
