Several injured – At Almabtrieb in Tyrol: cars drove in a crowd

In the course of a cattle drive in Tyrol, a driver drove into a group of people on Saturday. Apparently there was a technical defect in the vehicle. Several people were injured.

At around 1 p.m., the fatal accident occurred during a cattle drive from Hochschwendberg in the direction of Hippach in the Zillertal. A car with two people traveling downhill crashed into the end of the train of people or animals, presumably due to a technical defect, and then crashed into a boundary wall.

Two people apparently more seriously injured
“As far as we know, the two vehicle occupants and five other people were injured,” the police said. Two victims are likely to have been more seriously injured. Two vehicles were also damaged. Several rescue workers with two emergency helicopters, the Hippach volunteer fire brigade and several police patrols were on duty.
