“Several months between life and death”: Nikos Aliagas was born with a terrible malformation

Nikos Aliagas is a key presenter in the television landscape and in particular on TF1. However, little is known about his private life and especially his childhood. On the occasion of the broadcast of a documentary on him on Wednesday February 9, 2022 on TMC, which is entitled Real Nikos, in the shadow of the lightsthe magazine TV Star (issue of January 21, 2022) evokes strong passages from the film. The newspaper returns in particular to the serious illness that the doctors discovered in him at birth.

Nikos Aliagas was born on May 13, 1969 in Paris. A moment of joy for his parents which quickly turned into anxiety. Baby Nikos unfortunately has a malformation in his little belly, a malformation of the duodenum (one of the three segments of the small intestine), as his mother Harula remembers. It’s serious and needs to be taken care of quickly. After an operation, Nikos Aliagas remains three months in the hospital before returning home.

In 2015, when he was a guest on the show It’s up to you on France 5, the companion of the beautiful Tina Grigoriou had mentioned his illness and he had not minced his words: “I was born in 1969 in Paris and I had a fairly serious malformation at the time, and I was operated on at the Hospital for Sick Children. I think that if I had been born at the time, in the provinces, in Greece, I would have had a little less luck. I survived, but I still spent several months between life and death, under glass...”

It was not the famous animator and photographer who revealed this information but his former boss of Union Libre, Christine Bravo. She had surprised more than one viewer by declaring on the show behind the post that the 52-year-old was born with two stomachs. Information that he confirmed later in It’s Canteloup.

The father of Agathe (9 years old) and Andréas (5 years old) has since been in excellent health.
