Severe storms – debris flows! In the Pinzgau, 200 men moved out on Thursday

The Pinzgau and the floods – that’s a painful story! On Thursday evening, especially in Oberpinzgau, many emergency calls were made after severe storms. Two roads were still closed at midnight. There were also mudslides.

The fire brigade suddenly had their hands full in Oberpinzgau on Thursday. Around 8:30 p.m., severe storms raged over Tyrol and the western part of Salzburg. This resulted in 50 missions by the Floriani with around 215 men. They had to pump out flooded cellars, especially in the Mittersill area. At least one mudslide has occurred on the Jochberg. So on and near the Pass-Thurn-Straße in the direction of Kitzbühel in Tyrol. The B161 has therefore been blocked. A roadblock was also declared for the B165 between Mittersill and Neukirchen. According to the professional fire brigade, there were no personal injuries.
