Sew masks with Guido Maria Kretschmer's pattern

To curb the spread of the coronavirus, more and more people are now turning to mouthguards. However, since masks are scarce and have to be made available to nursing staff, it is now a matter of lending a hand. How good that Guido Maria Kretschmer is by our side and shows how it works!

Get on the sewing machines

Here we go! The good news: most of what you need for your DIY mask is already at home. For example, an old jersey T-shirt is sufficient as material. Guido provides the rest – instructions and patterns. You can download both here. And then it's off to the sewing machines.

Use a mouthguard sensibly

It is important, however, that wearing such a mask does not replace the minimum distance of two meters and washing your hands regularly. You also protect not with a mask, as is often assumed, but with others! If you wear a mask, you can prevent large droplets from passing the virus on if you are infected. It also prevents you from touching your mouth and nose unprotected. And in the end: A mouth and nose mask gives you and others a good feeling in pretty much every everyday situation.
