“Sex and the City” fans can look forward to seeing them again: John Corbett returns as Aiden Shaw in the reboot “And just like that …”.
Can Aiden Shaw win the heart of Carrie Bradshaw after all? Fan favorite John Corbett (59, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”) returns to his old role and becomes part of the “Sex and the City” reboot “And just like that …”. “I’ll do the show,” shared the actor recently in an interview with “Page Six”. He said he was very excited. When asked how many episodes he will be in, he said, “I think there will be a few.”
Will the old romance be rekindled?
Corbett played the furniture designer Aiden in 22 episodes of the original series, but Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker, 56) alienated him through an affair with “Mr. Big” (Chris Noth, 66). Since Noth is not supposed to be part of the reboot, the chances are good that Aiden and Carrie will continue their romance – which also briefly flared up again in the “Sex and the City” film.
In addition to Noth, fans of the series have to do without Kim Cattrall (64, “Sensitive Skin”), who played the role of Samantha Jones. The ten-part series “And just like that …” is primarily about the three friends Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte, who are now in their fifties. She’ll likely be on HBO Max from 2022.
