For the planned "Sex and the City" reboot there are a few topics to be dealt with. Sarah Jessica Parker has now confirmed: Covid-19 too.

Sarah Jessica Parkers (55) Looking forward to the "Sex and the City" reboot "And Just Like That …" is huge. Although she does not have any information about the individual storylines herself, she fully trusts the skills of showrunner Michael Patrick King (66) and the team of authors. Parker told Vanity Fair magazine that they were currently working on the scripts for the limited new edition of HBO Max. What should not be missing in times like these of course: the coronavirus pandemic. It should also be the topic of the ten half-hour episodes.

Parker confirmed: Covid-19 will "of course be part of the story". After all, New York, "the city these characters live in", is grappling with the effects of the pandemic. "How does it change relationships when friends disappear?" Is just a question the actress asks in advance.

Does Carrie Bradshaw have a podcast now?

The coronavirus pandemic will probably only be one of many aspects that "And Just Like That …" will shed light on. How do you think Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon, 54) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis, 55) are today? Parker wonders: "Have you adjusted? Where have you fallen by the wayside as women, as friends, and how do you find your way? (…) How is your relationship with social media? What has changed?" The 55-year-old is "so curious and excited to see how the authors imagine these women today".

Miranda and Charlotte are now mothers, Parker said. Her character Carrie, however, has "no family apart from her friendships". So where is she professionally? "How have all these political changes affected your work? Is she still writing a column? Has she written other books? Or does she have a podcast?" Probably not only the actress longs for the answers to all these questions as quickly as possible. A start date for the reboot is not yet known.
