The cult series "Sex and the City" is getting a sequel. Sarah Jessica Parker and Co. should collect this fee for the new edition.

Sarah Jessica Parker (55) returns as the sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw: The cult series "Sex and the City" (1998-2004) will be continued. Cynthia Nixon (54) as lawyer Miranda Hobbes and Kristin Davis (55) as gallery owner Charlotte York will also celebrate a comeback. The fans have to do without Kim Cattrall (64) in the role of PR woman Samantha Jones. The latter misses a hefty fee. The US trade journal "Variety" wants to know how much the leading actresses are getting for the revival.

HBO Max confirmed ten more "SATC" episodes on Sunday under the title "And just like that …". For each of the episodes, the actresses, who also work as executive producers for the revival, will each receive over one million US dollars (around 820,000 euros).

It is not surprising that the "SATC" stars apparently exceed the million mark in their fees. For a long time, the stars from "The Big Bang Theory" or "Friends" were the top earners with a million dollar salary. However, especially in the United States, serial productions and thus salaries are booming. Harrison Ford (78) earned $ 1.2 million per episode for the series "The Staircase", according to "Variety". Reese Witherspoon ("The Morning Show", Apple TV +) and Kerry Washington ("Little Fire Everywhere", Hulu) are also said to have won 1.1 million dollars.

"SATC" friendships are passed on

After two "Sex and the City" films, fans have long been waiting for a series revival. "The series will accompany Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte on their way from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s," says the content of the new episodes. The film will be shot in New York in late spring.
