Under the leadership of its parent company Altice, SFR will support Les Restos du Cœur in different ways, seeking 35 million euros to balance their accounts.

Since the crying appeal launched by its president in the 1 p.m. news of TF1 on Sunday September 3, the association Les Restos du Cœur has benefited from an outpouring of generosity that goes from the richest man in France, Bernard Arnault, to the Altice group, a heavyweight in telecoms. The owner of SFR unveiled this September 5 his device to also support the institution.

SFR wants to double the amount of donations made by its customers

A few days ago, Patrice Douret, president of the association created by Coluche in 1985, alarmed about a possible closure of the latter within three years if nothing is done. Since then, the government has come out of the woodwork by releasing additional aid of 15 million euros.

French distributors are also going there with their initiatives, as is the boss of LVMH, Bernard Arnault, who promises to pay 10 million euros to Restos du Cœur.

On the side of the operator SFR, of which this is not the first solidarity action, an operation will be launched during the month of September to amplify the call for donations from all of its customers. The firm in the red square undertakes to double the amount collected by paying the association 1 euro for each euro donated by its customers.

The Altice group is mobilizing all its forces

The SFR Foundation, known for its part to promote equal opportunities, promises to work with Les Restos du Cœur on the association’s digital inclusion and professional integration programs.

More broadly, the Altice France group as a whole is taking action. The company, which has already involved the association’s volunteer president on the BFMTV set, indicates that it wants to mobilize its national (RMC, RMC Story, RMC Découverte, BFMTV, etc.) and local (BFM Régions) branches, but also its sites and applications, to raise public awareness.
