Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew unveils more

After unveiling his new title Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew about 2 months ago, the Mimimi Games studio returned in more detail to its first self-published game. Project expected for 2023 on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew presents itself as a tactical infiltration game in isometric 3D.

But unlike his previous titles Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun And Desperados III, Mimimi Games has opted here for a scenario completely steeped in fantasy. And thus offers many new possibilities since there is no longer the need to stick to a certain form of realism. Thus, for example, magic will be very present throughout the adventure.

Those damn pirates

The story takes place during the golden age of piracy, in an alternate version of the Caribbean. Players will have the objective of building a crew of cursed pirates, each with unique magical abilities, in order to find the legendary treasure of Captain Mordechai. The pirate ship itself is a character in its own right in the game. The Red Marley will allow you to navigate between the different islands of the Caribbean while making conversation with you.

Moreover, Shadow Gambit seems to want to bet on a certain freedom of movement. Thus, no order in the missions. Players will be able to move back and forth from island to island as they please and choose which mission to embark on. All that remains is to decide on the approach to use to explore each island, as well as the crew members useful for the mission.

Mimimi Games is also taking advantage of its video to present the fourth playable character in its title. It will thus be possible to control Toya, a ninja pirate whose main ability is to be able to teleport over great distances. Useful both for attacking a guard by surprise or on the contrary for fleeing, this ability will combine perfectly with those of other crew members.
