“Pathaan” opened in cinemas on January 25, 2023. After almost 5 years of Shah Rukh Khan’s lull as a leading actor, the Bollywood star is back and making the cinema halls tremble. “Pathaan” is also showing in selected cinemas in Germany. With the action smasher, SRK, as his fans affectionately call him, demonstrates that he’s still one of the biggest movie stars in the world.
While we tend to marvel at American film stars such as Tom Cruise or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on the screens in this country, they are rather small on the Indian subcontinent next to Shah Rukh Khan. The star is one of the most popular and highest paid stars ever.
His impressive career started in the 80’s when he acted in TV series. In the ’90s, the actor first played villain roles before making a name for himself as the epitome of the romantic film hero. With “Pathaan” he has now become a thoroughbred action star.
