On June 4, Gerard Pique and Shakira announced their separation, after more than 11 years together and two children. “We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, which is our top priority, we ask for privacy. Thank you for your understanding”, had declared the couple, through a statement released by the agency EFE. And a few months after this announcement, the Spanish footballer had already found love.
At the end of August, Gerard Piqué had been photographed kissing a mysterious woman during Summerfest Cerdanya, a music festival held in Puigcerda (on the Franco-Spanish border). And the lucky lady turned out to be Clara Chia, a young woman of 23 years. According to the Mirror, this is a public relations studentwho works for Gerard Piqué’s sports and media investment group, Cosmos. According to the British media, the young woman would have already met Shakira because they would have worked together on events.

And at the beginning of October, images of the Kosmos company, where Clara Chia works, were unveiled on a Shakira fan account on Instagram. But ironically because on the pictures, we can discover that of several frames on which the Colombian singer appears are still present in the premises of the company. Not sure that the new darling of Gérard Piqué feels totally comfortable when she passes in front of these photos which must indirectly observe her.

It must be said that Shakira would not have really digested that her ex-husband appears so quickly with a new woman. Indeed, according to a source close to the singer’s family with the Spanish media Telecinco, the interpreter of Waka Waka would have been “very angry to see the father of his children with his girlfriend in publicdue to an alleged pact between the two exes, in which they had agreed not to appear publicly with their partners during the first year since their split.
And since their breakup, Shakira never hesitates to settle accounts with Gerard Pique, even through her songs. So in the title Te Felicito (which translates into French as “I congratulate you”), the 45-year-old artist indirectly attacked his ex: “To make you whole / I broke into pieces / I was warned, but I didn’t heed / Don’t tell me you’re sorry / I know you well and I know you’re lying”, can we hear in particular in the lyrics, translated here into French. The song was also released shortly after the FC Barcelona defender’s rumors of infidelity. In an interview with Elle magazine, Shakira also confirmed that she could use music to say what’s on her mind. “I can only say that consciously or unconsciously, everything I feel, everything I go through is reflected in the lyrics I write, in the videos I make.”she explained.
