There is said to have been a lot of noise behind the scenes of the cult series “Charmed – Magical Witches”. Alyssa Milano allegedly tried to force her colleagues Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs apart.

It’s no secret that there were difficulties on the set of the drama-mystery series “Charmed,” which aired from 1998 to 2006. Shannen Doherty has spoken about this several times in interviews. But never in such detail. This time her long-time friend and ex-“Charmed” colleague Holly Marie Combs was a guest on her podcast “Let’s Be Clear”. The two US stars have known each other for 30 years. Their close relationship was put to the test by their then co-star Alyssa Milano.

Shannen Doherty wasn’t allowed to visit Holly Marie Combs in the hospital
The actress, who became famous as Brenda Walsh in “Beverly Hills, 90210”, demonstrates this with the following example: During the filming of the second season of “Charmed”, Holly Marie Combs struggled with health problems. She had to have a tumor “the size of a baseball” surgically removed. When Doherty wanted to visit Combs in the hospital 24 hours after surgery, Milano allegedly tried to stop her.
“It wasn’t made easy for me to get in,” Doherty said, according to People, adding, “I was even told I wasn’t allowed in.” Then she turns directly to Combs and says, “You [Alyssa und ihre Mutter, Anmerkung der Redaktion] prevented people from seeing you, and you didn’t know that at the time.”

Holly herself comes from a difficult family background; according to her, Alyssa’s family took touching care of her back then.

Combs then texted Doherty with the message “Dude, are you coming to see me?” sent. Shannen felt her friend’s pain. She felt like she was letting Holly down. This had a negative impact on their friendship and a rift emerged that put a lot of strain on Shannen.

“I cried every single night of Season 2,” she remembers. Fortunately, both of them can now laugh about that time; their friendship has lasted not only that, but for many years to come.
