The United Nations enables you to donate meals to starving children with the ShareTheMeal app. It only takes a few cents for that!
People suffer from hunger not only in crisis situations like the one currently in Ukraine. Malnutrition is a persistent problem in many countries, particularly among children. The good news is that even small donations can help to combat this situation.
You can do this with the free app ShareTheMeal, where you can donate meals to starving children for little money. We will show you how the application works.
ShareTheMeal: Donate a meal to a child
Have you ever felt bad about throwing away food while people elsewhere are suffering from malnutrition? 70 cents are enough to feed a starving child for a day: With the United Nations’ ShareTheMeal app, it’s really easy.
All you have to do is install the free app on your smartphone and you can fund a child’s meal. You determine the appropriate amount yourself: a child can eat for a whole week for less than 5 euros.
Payment is made conveniently via PayPal or credit card. Decide for yourself whether you want to donate monthly or once. Every bit helps!
drinking water for all
Not only hunger, but also the lack of clean drinking water is a major problem: 663 million people worldwide have no access to clean water. With your help we can change that. For example, you could support charity: water projects or the Viva con Agua network.
Viva con Agua draws attention to the topic of water with creative campaigns in German-speaking countries and collects donations for global water projects. Charity: water is a non-profit organization that has been working for many years to give people in developing countries access to drinking water. To date, the organization has supported almost 20,000 projects in 24 countries.
You can find various other aid projects on the betterplace.org website, so that your support really gets where you want it to go.
WWF and Greenpeace: donate to the environment
If you also want to donate to the environment, there are many ways you can do so. Among others, there are the well-known environmental organizations WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and Greenpeace, who are looking forward to your support.
The WWF is committed to preserving the natural habitats of animal species that are threatened with extinction. Greenpeace fights, among other things, against the destruction of jungles and environmental pollution. You can help these organizations carry out their projects:
