sharing the photo of your cat with several contacts becomes easier

Google Messages sees the design of content sharing by messages modified. It becomes a little easier to share a photo, a link, to several of your contacts simultaneously.

When you want to send the last photo taken of your little cat (obviously too cute) on Google Messages, the interface offers the last five correspondents, as well as the complete list of your contacts. To make sharing with several contacts simpler, the SMS/MMS application changes its sharing interface a little.

Sharing on Google Messages changes a little bit

As told 9to5Google, the tests set up by Google seem to have been conclusive. The redesign of its sharing interface is modified and the changes are starting to be deployed more widely. From now on, when you share content (text, photo, link, etc.) on Google Messages, a full-screen interface is displayed, titled “ Select recipients“. It actually shows the five most recent conversations with an excerpt from the last message sent, to give you more context.

By pressing “More recent conversations», the complete history is displayed with a magnifying glass in the upper right corner to find a specific one. It apparently replaces the “New message» from the old interface. The menu allows you to select several conversations: as each contact is checked, they are displayed at the top. Then you can press “Following” And “Share individually» to avoid creating a group conversation with the share.

In short, this new way of presenting is more complex, but also more complete, displaying more information. For the moment, not everyone has access to it: the users concerned are nevertheless increasing in number as the weeks go by. At the house ofFrandroid, we were unable to observe this change. You too could be affected soon. Another upcoming change to Google Messages is the ability to edit messages after they’ve been sent.
