Sharon Stone has spoken about her experiences on dating apps and admitted it wasn’t all nice meetings.

Why should a Hollywood star fare differently than many other women: Anyone who does online dating has to expect not only nice meetings but also some strange acquaintances. This is what happened to Sharon Stone (65). What experiences the actress has had with dating apps like Tinder and Bumble revealed in an interview with “The Times”.

Many of her most recent dates came about through online dating. The “Basic Instinct” star apparently remembers one person particularly well. The date with a “heroin addict who was clearly 20,000 heroin injections older than the picture he sent me” took place at the Hotel Bel-Air. But it didn’t take long, says Stone. “I told the waiter, ‘I’ll have a glass of water.’ He had a cocktail: absinthe or something. And I said, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t stay,'” she recalls.

Sharon Stone still hopes to find a real “partnership” through the apps. Stone clarifies that she doesn’t have to go on Tinder to find someone for bed. A café is enough, “it’s not difficult.”

Sharon Stone as an online therapist

But not every dating experience Stone has had has been bad. During the pandemic, for example, she had two encounters, but they remained online. She fondly remembers helping men get over their recent breakups. “I was almost like a therapist,” she says.

A father of two whose wife wanted a divorce had difficulty coming to terms with it. “The other had separated from his girlfriend. She had become pregnant and instead of marrying him, she had an abortion,” recalls the artist. She helped both of them process it, which was also “very fulfilling.”

New year, new love

Sharon Stone has high hopes for the new year: “This is the year I want to fall in love – 100 percent,” she says. Your future partner doesn’t have to meet a long list of qualifications. She’s not looking either. “I never looked. Because I don’t think it will work that way.” Another scenario seems more realistic to the actress: “You’re standing somewhere, someone comes up to you and speaks to you… and before you know it, two years have passed.”

This isn’t the first time Stone has shared her experiences on dating apps. In 2019, however, she encountered a major obstacle in her efforts to find true love online: she was blocked from the dating app Bumble. It had previously been reported by users who assumed it must be a fake account.

Sharon Stone was married to screenwriter Michael Greenburg (born 1952) from 1984 to 1987. She was then married to the journalist Phil Bronstein (73) from 1998 to 2004, with whom she raised their son Roan (23). She also adopted sons Quinn (17) and Laird (18).
