Iran: “Everyone has their hand on the trigger”

According to his own words, the Iranian foreign minister still sees room for diplomacy in the Israel war. But tomorrow it will be too late. Amirabdollahian again sharply warns Israel, including against attacks against Hezbollah. Various scenarios have been discussed with our own allies.

Iran’s foreign minister has warned Israel against further bombings in Gaza and against attacks against the Shiite militia Hezbollah. “In terms of scenarios against Hezbollah, any action will be an earthquake against the Zionists,” Hussein Amirabdollahian said in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

Amirabdollahian reiterated his support to allied militant groups in the Middle East. “The resistance alone is capable of carrying out any action and has the means to do so,” said the minister. Various scenarios were discussed at meetings with leaders of allied groups. “Everyone has drawn up scenarios and everyone has their hand on the trigger,” warned the minister.

According to him, Iran still sees room for diplomacy in the Israel war. “There is still the possibility for diplomatic measures, but tomorrow it will be too late, these crimes must be stopped immediately.”

Meeting with Hezbollah chief

Since the terrorist attack by the Palestinian Hamas on Israel, there has been growing concern that the conflict is developing into a conflagration. Many observers are looking at Hezbollah, which was already involved in a war with Israel in 2006. The organization is a loyal ally of Iran. Since last weekend there has been repeated fighting on the Israeli-Lebanese border.

The minister is currently visiting Iran’s allies in the region. Amirabdollahian was already in Beirut on Friday. In Lebanon, which shares a border with Israel, Amirabdollahian met, among others, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

Since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Israel has been Iran’s declared archenemy. Tehran has expanded its political and military ties in the region since the 1990s to create an “axis of resistance” with the support of Shiite militias.
