The two musicians Camila Cabello, 24, and Shawn Mendes, 23, have split up. They announced this in a joint statement: “We have decided to end our romantic relationship,” it says.

The stars also explained in an Instagram story: “But the love for one another as human beings is greater than ever before. We started the relationship as best friends and will continue to do so.”
In the summer of 2019, Mendes and Cabello announced their relationship. Before that, they had been friends for a number of years. At the beginning of July they celebrated the two-year anniversary of their love. The singer posted a picture on Instagram in which the two kiss. “Happy two years, my baby,” he wrote. Cabello also published several pictures and declared, among other things: “To more joy, more friendship and more love.”
