She abandons her children and leaves her sick daughter to die to party in a bar

She is the very definition of an unworthy mother. In the United States, in the heart of Texas, Lauren Kay Dean has just been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of her seven-year-old granddaughter. While one might think of an infanticide ending in a bloodbath, it is not so: the latter simply preferred to spend her evening in a bar near her home rather than taking care of her seriously ill daughter…

The story dates back to January 31, 2020. On this New Year’s Eve, Lauren Kay Dean decides to go party at a bar. Problem: this mother leaves her three children at home, including Jordynn, aged seven and bedridden due to health issues. It was the American media Fox News which reported this terrible affair. Following an alert given by one of her neighbors, a squad of Bay City police rushes to the home of this unworthy mother. At the same time, the latter returns home, and she meets them in the lobby of her building before inviting the police to come upstairs to see that everything is fine for her children.

The little girl was found dead by the police

Upon entering the apartment, the image is terrible: the police find themselves face to face with the lifeless body of the little girl. Next to her, two other children: a five-year-old boy and a three-month-old baby. The latter were logically taken care of by the social services. The victim had Down syndrome and cerebral palsy. Unable to communicate, she was fed by a tube, which means that she had to be watched 24 hours a day. This enormous negligence from her mother will therefore have cost her her life…
