“She is a mother”: Ségolène Royal attacks Marlène Schiappa after her photos in Playboy

Once again the photos make people react. Marlène Schiappa’s decision to have posed for Playboy definitely does not pass. If the Secretary of State has assumed her desire to talk about women’s causes in a men’s magazine, the reactions have been quite virulent on this subject. The latest? Ségolène Royal. Invited on RTL, the former companion of François Hollande gave his very clear opinion on the photos of Marlène Schiappa. “It did not shock me, but I disapprove for several reasons. Firstly because there is the use of the French flag. I find it offbeat”, she begins by indicating.

Ségolène Royal also attacks the magazine: “Then there is the fact of reviving a newspaper whose founder is a bad guy, who was prosecuted and suspected of organizing parties with sexual assaults”she commented. The former presidential candidate does not really understand why Marlène Schiappa embarked on this adventure. “Thirdly, it is a medium that transforms women’s bodies into merchandise (…) Marlène Schiappa is a mother. How can we say afterwards to little girls ‘respect yourself, don’t undress on social networks’ , if you have a female minister who poses in a newspaper where there are naked women and who is sold for it”.

Ségolène Royal goes strong

The former MP criticizes the fact that Matignon did not have a say in the photos of Marlène Schiappa. “I find it hard to believe that a communication decision of this importance has not been validated by the communication managers of Matignon”she concluded. Will the main interested party respond to Ségolène Royal? She has already defended herself on her project. “Defending the right of women to dispose of their bodies is everywhere and all the time. In France, women are free. No offense to retrogrades and hypocrites.”
