This 21-year-old mother has given birth to a stillborn baby. To grieve, she chose to make videos on TikTok with her child to keep indelible memories. A choice strongly criticized, she defends herself.

After experiencing a traumatic event, the 21-year-old mother posted videos with her stillborn child on TikTok. A platform where more and more young people meet, despite the minimum age of 13 years. Many internet users were shocked to see these series of videos of dancing with her inert baby.
Lexie, under her nickname lex.issssson, posted several videos from her hospital room with her baby in her arms. In her first video, she holds her baby girl close to her chest. Even stranger, the mother put a clown filter on her face with music. She also shows the face of her stillborn baby. “Black humor at its peak. Please let me get out of it ”, she wrote in the caption of the video, seen by nearly 6 million people.

In total, she posted about ten videos with her baby. A way for her to get out of it, even if it doesn’t seem “normal” to others. “This is not a joke”, she concluded. “It’s my coping mechanism.”
Videos that have gone viral on Tiktok with negative feedback from her community, which prompted the young woman to deactivate comments on her photo. “I suspect she was shocked by everything that happened”, wrote a surfer who “always finds it very disturbing to see pictures and videos of a dead baby “.
