She parks her stroller badly, the 3-month-old baby plunges into a river

Maneuver error this Friday, January 14, 2022 in Seedorf, Switzerland, in the canton of Uri, about twenty kilometers from Bern. A young woman who had gone for a walk around 10.45 a.m. with three-month-old baby in stroller nearly suffered tragic loss. As they strolled along the Reuss, a major Swiss river, in the district of Wyerallmend, the woman stopped for a few moments and therefore parked the stroller to do what she had to do. Only the security of the brake of the stroller must have been badly engaged since according to the first elements of the investigation cited by lematin, the cat moved and started to roll down the slope before landing in the river.

To note that the woman who was walking the child was not his mother, but a close relative of the baby’s family who had taken him on a ride. Driven by the fall of the stroller which overturned in the water, the baby also fell into the water and, like the stroller, began to be carried away by the current. Seeing the drama unfold before her eyes, the woman rushed into the river where she managed to catch the three-month-old baby and pull him out of the water. Fortunately for the drenched duo, a motorist drove past them and, seeing their condition, stopped to help them.

The baby was transported to another hospital

The passerby who stopped by car has them quickly taken to the cantonal hospital of Uri so that the nursing staff can then provide first aid to the three-month-old baby, completely soaked and freezing. After that, our colleagues from lematin specify that the baby was transported by helicopter Alpine Air Ambulance in another hospital, outside the canton of Uri. The woman carrying the baby was only slightly injured while rescuing the baby from the river. No details were given on the identity of the two victims.
