Very young, she left her city to become a model. She ends up massacred by a killer who savagely slit her throat.

Eve Stratford, a young woman from Warrington, Cheshire, was found dead, almost decapitated so brutal the attack was, in her London apartment. The scene of the Death of Eve Stratfordwaitress at Playboy Club when it debuted in 1973, was so macabre that authorities described it as being one of the worst scenes that they have ever seen. The 21-year-old longed deeply for become a modeland yet we find her, on March 17, 1975, massacred in her apartment, recalls The Sunin his article of May 30, 2023.

Tony Priest, Eve’s musician boyfriend and with whom she shared her apartment in Leyton, discovers on returning home a terrifying scene. Eve died, wearing a very light garment, tied up with her own stockings and raped. Obviously, her killer went after her because he mutilated her face and slit his throat 12 times. Blood spurted everywhere and a bouquet of flowers she had bought in the afternoon lay next to her body, spattered with blood. Eve Stratford had left her Warrington home aged 19 with a dreams of becoming a model. She begins by working at Playboy Club in 1973 as Bunny Girl and became very popular with celebrities regulars of the London club. Eve knew what she wanted: become a model. Unfortunately, she did not manage to appear in the American magazine of Playboy. Here she is posing for Mayfairthe British boutique magazine rival, and is named Miss March 1975as Eva Von Borke.

As the article of The Sun. Eve poses topless on magazine cover Mayfair and was treated to no less than nine pages including a central full face nude photo. In the publication’s interview, Eve had revealed love being dominated in bedbut not be “whipped or tied“. Eve had also said in the interview “live alone with my cat“. Which, along with the photo op, might have prompted the killer to target hersaid the police.
