In Moldova, the life of a young woman suddenly turned tragic as she ate a bowl of cereal.
A terrifying story. On Tuesday March 7, 2023, a 20-year-old student died after to have choked with a bowl of cereal that she ate for breakfast. Twenty-year-old Diana Farcas was found dead by her mother in Doljesti, a town in Moldova. Immediately, the sobbing mother took her phone to call for help. According to local media, the paramedics, who arrived quickly on the scene, told his mother the sad news: her daughter was from die within the family home. The police spokesman returned to the matter saying officers from the Rural Police Department were notified by an emergency call from the home around 12 noon.
“Medical staff from the ambulance confirmed the death of a 20-year-old young woman from Doljesti”, Ms Ciofu said. The young woman choked on oatmeal, present in her cereal. This powder then blocked his airways. Following the declaration of his death, his body was transported to the forensic medicine service so that an autopsy could be performed. “Investigations are continuing in the context of a criminal case opened for the crime of manslaughter. Her mother found her in her room at around 10:30 am.”
Tributes multiply
Since the announcement of his death, tributes have multiplied. In particular that of the Faculty of Geography and Geology of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, in which the young woman was finishing her last year of studies. : “With pain in our hearts, we inform you that yesterday one of our 3rd year Geography Tourism students, Diana Andreea Farcas, passed away. We extend our condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and all who were close to her. May God rest her soul!” Diana’s funeral took place on Saturday March 11 in the village of Rotunda, Doljesti.
