Samire Lymani, 40, is suspected of having killed his partner Aurélie Vaquier in January 2021 in Bédarieux, Hérault. According to doctors, the victim breathed his last after being buried alive under a concrete slab, where his body was found.
On April 7, 2021, the body of Aurélie Vaquier, 39, was discovered under a concrete slab by the gendarmes of the Montpellier research section, at her home in Bédarieux, in Hérault. Disappeared at the end of January of this same year, she had remained untraceable despite the numerous beaten. The main suspect is none other than the companion of the deceased : Samire Lymani, 40 years old, former soldier and truck driver. In jail for a year he is awaiting trial for spousal murder. His attitude had challenged the investigators from the start of the case. “While we were digging, he was watching youtube videos on his phone and after finding the slab, he took on the attitude of someone surprised”, told a relative of the investigation to our colleagues. A witness also testified that he was “strongly encouraged” by Samire Lymani to practice fellatio, at the time when the latter was still in a relationship with Aurélie Vaquier.

According to medical expertise, one of the hypotheses supposes that the death of Aurélie Vaquier is “strictly secondary to the burying of the living body in the slab, subject to a prior alteration of consciousness”. In other words, Aurélie Vaquier would have been buried alive. A cattail was also found in the couple’s home, hidden behind a partition with the victim’s headphones and phone. “It is legitimate to consider, by the very fact of its dissimulation, that the mallet was used to practice a neck lock and cause asphyxiation of the victim as the medical examiners have indicated”believes the judge who issued the OMA.
