Shia LaBeouf has apparently been in an addiction clinic for the past few weeks. According to US media, it is not clear how long he has to stay.

The US actor Shia LaBeouf (34, "Disturbia") has been in a closed addiction clinic for five weeks, according to a US media report. At least this was explained by an unspecified insider to the magazine "Variety". Accordingly, it is not clear how long the inpatient therapy will last, this will be decided solely on the basis of his progress. His lawyer already indicated this step in a short statement in December.

After the lawsuit in a Los Angeles court of sexual and emotional abuse by his ex-girlfriend FKA twigs (33, "Magdalene"), lawyer Shawn Holley was quoted as saying: "Shia needs help and he knows it. We are looking for a good, intensive long-term addiction program in a clinic. " The singer FKA twigs claims that LaBeouf physically attacked her several times, including gagging at night and deliberately infecting her with an STD.

LaBeouf made a short statement about the allegations and apologized. He caused pain to people who were close to him and is ashamed of his past. In the meantime, it also seems clear that his agency CAA did not put him at the door because of the allegations, but rather distanced himself. It is said that he wants to take a break from Hollywood and focus on his healing. For years there have been rumors of massive alcohol and drug consumption by the "Transformers" star.
