Shia LaBeouf unrecognizable in Coppola’s Megalopolis set photos

Photos of Shia LaBeouf on the set of Francis Ford Coppola’s ambitious project Megalopolis have just been unveiled. The actor is unrecognizable.

Currently filming in Atlanta, Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis is revealed through a series of photos showing Shia Labeouf made up and dressed like a Greek goddess.

The 36-year-old actor wears a white toga, heeled shoes and a crown of gold flowers. In the scene from which the photo is taken, Shia LaBeouf arrives at the theater in a limo with about twenty women. Earlier he had been spotted wearing a Crocodile Dundee leather outfit.

No further details about the actor’s role have been released.

Photos of Adam Driver, in a more conventional look, are also circulating on social networks. The latter holds the main role of this science fiction film. That of an architect who embarks on the reconstruction of New York after a disaster.

Megalopolis is a long-term project for Francis Ford Coppola. This overly ambitious feature film has been in the works for many years and the director has decided to self-finance it to the tune of 120 million dollars.

At the beginning of January, The Hollywood Reporter announced that the director was encountering major difficulties, in particular with the departure of several technicians and that the shooting had descended into chaos.

Words denied in the process by the filmmaker who declared to the Deadline site: “I love my cast, I love what I get every day, I stay on schedule and on budget, and that’s what’s important to me..” before specifying: “This information never indicates who the sources are. As for me, I tell them ‘ha ha, wait and see the result.’ Because it’s a wonderful film and especially because the cast is great“.

In addition to Shia LaBeouf and Adam Driver, Megalopolis is worn by Forrest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Jon Voight, Nathalie Emmanuel, Dustin Hoffman, Aubrey Plaza, Jessica Lange or even Zendaya and Cate Blanchett.

No release date has yet been announced.
