Everything comes back – also in terms of make-up. The nuances we’ve been spotting on the eyelids of some celebrity ladies for weeks and months look suspiciously familiar. ’90s metallic shades are making a comeback.

It shimmers and sparkles in very specific shades. Our eyelids take center stage in spring and summer. Because a certain ’90s makeup trend is back. When even beauty idols like Bella and Gigi Hadid wear it, it won’t be long before it makes its way back into our beauty bags.

90s eyeshadow trend: Shine on!

“Shine on” could be the name of the trend we spotted on various celebrity ladies. Because on the eyelids it may – no, SHOULD – shimmer and shine. After matt styles were popular in the last few seasons, it’s now time for shimmering. The nuances that make our lids shine in spring and summer are frosty. Light purple, mint green, cool blue, silver and above all a cool pink conquer our eyelids.

Hailey Bieber has already perfected the trend. At the MTV Video Music Awards a few weeks ago, she wowed in a light purple dress with matching shoes and a clutch in the same shade. And the eye make-up was also coordinated with the delicate shade of lilac. Her lids sparkled in a light shade of purple with a metallic finish. You don’t need much more make-up for that. A little mascara, highlighter on the cheeks and gloss on the lips – the beauty look inspired by the 90s is complete.

While Hailey uses gloss all over, Gigi contrasts her matte lips with the shimmering eye make-up. Both absolutely trendy.

The style can be pimped up with an elongated wing, as Gigi Hadid and Sidney Sweeney show. The most suitable here is to rely on darker tones of the same color family. A dark aubergine tone goes well with pink. Then the contrast is not too strong. But black always works to give the eye a dramatic touch.
