“Shining Vale” is getting a second season from US broadcaster Starz. Those responsible announced this in a press release.
“We are thrilled to bring viewers another season of this brilliant blend of horror and comedy,” said Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming at Starz.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge of raising the bar. But we can do anything because: We are the Phelps!” added Jeff Astrof, co-creator, executive producer and showrunner of the series.

Shining Vale Season 2: Start
The second season of “Shining Vale” is scheduled to start on October 13, 2023 on the US broadcaster Starz. In Germany the series is broadcast on Starzplay via the Amazon Channel. The broadcast should take place at the same time.

The “Shining Vale” trailer shows Pat returning to her family after her stay in the psychiatric hospital. Her book is finished and she is gaining dubious notoriety for what happened.
Shining Vale Season 2: Plot
In Season 1, Pat and Terry Phelps liquidate their savings and move from a cramped Brooklyn apartment to an old suburban Victorian home in Shining Vale, Connecticut, to save their marriage. Your children are not very enthusiastic about the move.
Buying a 200-year-old home that sold for more than $250,000 under value seemed like a good idea on paper. But Pat senses something is wrong.
Pat soon encounters the ghost of Rosemary and allows her to take over her body to finish her new book, with dire consequences. Because Rosemary killed her family and wants to make Pat do the same.
At the end of season 1, Gaynor has her mother committed to a psychiatric hospital. There she sees a picture from 1859 that appears to show Rosemary. But Rosemary didn’t kill her family until 1954.
In season 2 we will see what happens next for Pat. Will Rosemary be able to control her again and make her kill her family? We should also find out who the woman in the picture from 1859 is.

Also in season 2 we can see Courtney Cox (“Friends”, “Scream”) as Pat, Greg Kinnear (“House of Cards”) as Terry, Mira Sorvino (“American Crime Story”) as Rosemary and Gus Birney (“Kissing and other vital things”) and Dylan Gage (“PEN15”) as Gaynor and Jake again.
