Three editors with their style based on the motto “Suits”

This week, Guido Maria Kretschmer would like to see the perfect outfit from his candidates under the motto “Suits”. We too dared to go back to the current motto and created three looks.

Suits are no longer just for men, which is why Guido Maria Kretschmer has recently picked up this topic at “Shopping Queen” and rephrased it as the motto of the week: “Get on the suit! Convince in a trendy trouser suit!” While the five participating candidates go on a shopping tour, three of our editors have looked into their closets and found the right styling for the motto!

Three different styles by our editors based on the motto “suits”

Kristina, SEO editor: Suits are one of my all-time favorite looks in autumn. Depending on the temperature, the styling can be easily adapted: whether with a top, cashmere sweater or hoodie, the morning weather report decides. A top and matching footwear are quickly chosen for the black two-piece suit.

What I like about this look is that, despite the mix and match, everything goes well together. The Pinstripe blazer I bought that second hand for 3 euros dress pants immediately won me over with her high waist cut and creases. And if everything is about vertical stripes, a high-necked and ribbed tank top can be used on warmer days.

Black platform vans round off the classic look with a casual touch. High heels are out of the question for me. I like it more comfortably and somehow I want to take my 10,000 steps a day! With gold earrings, chains and rings, the look is perfect for me, and it works just as well in the office as it does in a café.

Janina, editor: This year I discovered my love for suits. While jeans were the ultimate for me for a long time, I dared to step out of the comfort zone – which is actually not one if you consider the inconvenience of skinny jeans – and invested in wide suit pants.

I prefer things to be uncomplicated – and that’s the case with suits. Once you have picked up the two-piece suit, all you need is the right top and footwear. I prefer to wear wide basic shirts from Fruit of the Loom with a suit. Here I have opted for a light gray, which I could buy for little money in the second-hand shop. That Basic t-shirt but are also available online at a bargain price. Of the black blazer is also second-hand and by Dorothee Schumacher. Here I found a similar model:

And now to the pants – they are currently my absolute favorite piece. Thanks to the elastic waistband and the flared leg, nothing pinches or pinches.

My look is rounded off with white sneakers from Veja and one beige beret. Now in autumn the hat is the most important accessory for me.

Laura, working student: Pantsuits – for me that was the epitome of narrow-mindedness for years. The ill-fitting brown trousers and blazers, decorated with pinstripes, couldn’t win my heart. But at the latest when the combination with sneakers was no longer a fashion no-go, trouser suits were allowed into my wardrobe. What do I love about them now? You always look well-dressed, whether it’s a T-shirt, turtleneck, sneakers or, if it has to be more elegant, also with high heels – the trouser suit is an eye-catcher for every occasion.

I prefer to wear the suit in a sporty way. My checked blazer has an open and flowing cut and is therefore slightly oversized. The pants are ankle-length and have a wider cut. Thanks to its elastic waistband, it is very comfortable and does not constrict. I bought both parts from Stradivarius two years ago. Here I have similar models for you blazer and to trousers linked:

I wear a simple one under the blazer Basic t-shirt. To give the whole outfit a little more color, I use colored highlights. My Chunky-looking shoes are from Steve Madden.

The mustard yellow shoulder bag is super practical for a cell phone, keys & Co. – a similar modelcan be found here:
