The shortage of components is causing the reception times to explode at Tesla.

Some Tesla Model X buyers will have to wait two years before they can receive their order.

Tesla Model X: two years of waiting to be expected

At the end of last year, Tesla started deliveries of the first restyled Model Xs, and while several customers have already seen their orders fulfilled, many are still waiting to get their hands on their vehicle. Shortage of components obliges, Tesla has the greatest difficulty in meeting demand and tries somehow to adapt to the situation.

Also, since the opening of orders, some customers have seen their delivery estimate postponed many times. In the case of Jon Rettinger, the delivery of a Tesla Model X originally scheduled for December 2021 was finally postponed to July 2022, before being postponed again very recently to a date between December 2022 and April 2023.

This delay affects, to a greater or lesser extent, the entire Tesla range, including the highly anticipated Cybertruck, whose pre-orders were recently suspended outside of Mexico and North America. Suffice to say that you will have to be very patient and understanding if you want to acquire a Tesla, or if you have placed an order in recent months.
