Shorts in winter – why not? With the right styling, you can defy the cold and create an everyday look.

It may take a while before spring pampers us with the first rays of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. But shorts and mini skirts can already be taken out of the closet. Because with a little fashion know-how, the short models can also be perfectly presented on cold days.

The material and length of the pants are decisive. In order to do justice to the winter look, shorts made of synthetic leather, wool, corduroy or velvet are recommended. Important: Your cut should neither be too body-hugging nor just below the bottom. A wider, knee-length cut is an advantage, as is a high-waist design.

Build the outfit around it

(Overknee) boots or boots go particularly well with the winter look with shorts. In order to defy the cold, tights can also be worn underneath. Or, a little more refined: knee socks that peek out from under the respective shoe model. However, attention should be paid to uniformity here. The color of the tights or stockings should either match the color of the shorts or that of the shoes. Too many different colors appear restless and can visually compress the leg.

Flattering the silhouette: tops that are tucked into the hem of the trousers and combined with another, slightly longer item of clothing. Coats or long blazers are ideal here. But the classic white shirt can also be used, paired with a trendy tank top that provides cozy warmth.
