Should Elon Musk remain the CEO of Twitter? It’s up to you, yes, you, to decide. The boss of the social network has indeed launched a user survey:

“Should I give up being the head of Twitter? I will stand by the results of this poll. »

At the time of writing these lines, the yes wins pretty much, but there are still a few hours to turn the tide.

Will Elon Musk slam the door of Twitter after a poll?

It’s still hard to tell if this is a serious statement or a huge prank with Elon Musk. If the yes wins, he could comply with the public vote. Vox Populi vox dei (the voice of the people is the voice of God) he tweeted some time ago after another poll.

If he keeps his promise, Elon Musk will no longer be CEO of Twitter. Nevertheless, he will remain the owner of the network and will always have decision-making power. Anyway, this survey looks like an admission of failure on his part after a very complicated week.

A few days ago, Musk banned many journalists who dared to contradict him on the @ElonJet affair, before finally reinstating their accounts. Yesterday, another earthquake, since it was announced that all links to other social networks would be banned. A startling decision but following user outcry, Twitter finally backtracked.

Add to all this an “IRL” incident that happened to Elon Musk on December 10th. Invited to the show of comedian Dave Chappelle, he was copiously booed by the public to the point of having to leave the stage. A first for a man accustomed to the cheers of the crowd who may have also played psychologically.

Elon Musk could therefore well find a way out with this survey and quit his job before irreversibly ransacking his $44 billion site… and his reputation he values so much.
