To date, there is no recommendation from the Ministry of Health regarding the type of bag to take with you for shopping. In plastic or fabric, what matters is that they are yours and that they are reusable. A bag that belongs to you is less likely to bring bacteria into your home than a bag bought from the supermarket. Unlike those available at checkout, they were not touched by outside hands. They will therefore not contaminate your food. However, you should consider washing them regularly. For fabric bags, machine pass them at 60 degrees to effectively remove potential traces of the virus. We remind you that it can survive on surfaces for a certain time. Clean the plastic ones with soap and water and dilute a little bleach if you really want to eradicate all the risks.
