Cult platformer from the indie scene, Shovel Knight features a hero equipped with knight armor and a shovel, going on an adventure to explore dungeons and face various bosses. A sequel was announced three years ago now, and it’s coming soon.
Yacht Club Games and Nitrome just announced that Shovel Knight Dig release date set for September 23, 2022 on PC through Steam, Nintendo Switch, Apple Arcade… and that’s it. The title had however been presented first on PlayStation 4, so what about this version? Well, Gematsu contacted the developers, who clarified that Shovel Knight Dig will arrive on playstation and Xbox later, without further details. In short, we will still have to wait.
While waiting to discover this sequel next month, you can find Shovel Knight: Treasure Trovewhich brings together the first opus and its extensions, €25.99 on GOG.com.
