Siblings involved – 17-year-old scammer ripped off victim: jail!

This family has apparently dedicated itself to fraud: A 17-year-old man from West Styria was arrested for offering smartphones for sale online but not delivering them to the victims. His brother and his two sisters don’t have a clean slate either.

In April last year, the 17-year-old from the Deutschlandsberg district was convicted of commercial fraud. He doesn’t seem to have learned from it and relapsed. According to the police, the teenager offered smartphones for sale on several platforms. He received the money from the victims, but never owned the goods and was therefore unable to deliver them. He also placed orders himself and concluded contracts with various operators – he never paid. A total of 21 acts of fraud could be proven. The damage is 7,000 euros. Three siblings reported The 17-year-old was arrested in the apartment of his 25-year-old half-brother. He made his bank account available for the fraud and is reported to the public prosecutor for money laundering. A sister (19) acted as an accomplice, the second sister (23) committed acts of fraud herself – both were also reported.
