Siegfried Fischbacher: This is how he feels after the death of his partner

Siegfried Fischbacher had to say goodbye to Roy Horn on May 8, who died after suffering from corona. How is he doing today

On May 8, Roy Horn (1944-2020), half of the world-famous magician duo Siegfried and Roy, died at the age of 75 from the consequences of a corona infection. His partner Siegfried Fischbacher (81) then withdrew from the public. In an interview with the "Bild" newspaper, he spoke about his emotional state: "I miss Roy infinitely. But I feel that he is taking care of me from up there. The memories of our wonderful time together carry me."

Fischbacher has lived alone on the "Little Bavaria" estate in Las Vegas since the death of Roy Horn. He found his paradise there and a return to his German homeland was out of the question for him, Fischbacher explains, adding: "Everything reminds me of Roy. I don't want to leave that behind."

Work on the film "Siegfried & Roy" continues

Fischbacher is currently working on a film that is to become "Roy's Legacy". Michael Bully Herbig (52, "Der Schuh des Manitu") will direct the film project "Siegfried & Roy", which has been planned for over two years and will continue to be pursued after Horn's death. He is currently working on the script. "I call 'Bully' Herbig almost every day. I think it will be a wonderful film," says Fischbacher.

Fischbacher also remembers the time together in a photo calendar that Roy Horn was still able to complete. "He was very proud when he looked at the first copy in April," says the 81-year-old. "The final product arrived on time so that he could see it on the way to the hospital."
