(CercleFinance.com) – Akiem, the company specializing in leasing rolling stock for rail vehicles, has ordered 65 Vectron AC and Vectron MS locomotives from Siemens Mobility.
The order was placed under a framework agreement for the purchase of locomotives signed in December 2021.
The first locomotives are to be delivered in mid-2024. Akiem had already ordered 20 Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility last December.
Albrecht Neumann, GM Rolling Stock at Siemens Mobility said: ‘With this order, we have also passed the milestone of 1,500 Vectrons sold: clear proof of customer satisfaction. ‘
