Siemens Energy: losses deepened in the 3rd quarter

(CercleFinance.com) – Siemens Energy publishes for its third quarter 2021-22 a loss of 0.54 euros per share, widened by 69% in annual comparison, as well as an adjusted EBITDA margin before exceptional items of – 1.8% against +0.7% a year earlier.

The energy equipment maker saw its revenue fall 4.7% on a comparable basis to 7.28 billion euros, as growth in the gas and power division was more than offset by the decline of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy .

Nevertheless, driven by large orders in both divisions, order intake climbed 60% on a comparable basis to reach 9.84 billion euros, bringing the order book to a record 93.4 billion at the end of June.

For the current financial year as a whole, the German industrial group anticipates a higher net loss than that of 2020-21, the difference should correspond broadly to the impact of the restructuring of activities in Russia.
