Siemens: helps Iberdrola reduce its carbon footprint


(CercleFinance.com) – Siemens is installing its NXPLUS C 24 blue GIS medium voltage switchgear, free of fluorinated gases, at the Spanish company Iberdrola. The climate-friendly Clean Air insulating gas with a global warming potential <1 consists exclusively of natural components of the ambient air. This solution increases sustainability and climate protection for the Spanish electricity company.

This is the first F-gas-free switchgear installation in Siemens blue portfolio at a customer site in Spain.

“We support Iberdrola in implementing its sustainability strategy while contributing to the energy transition in Spain,” said Stephan May, General Manager of the Electrification and Automation Division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure.
