(CercleFinance.com) – Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) announces the signing of an agreement for the acquisition for $1.575 billion (to which will be added an additional price) of Brightly Software, an American leader in software as service (SaaS) provider of asset management and maintenance solutions.
This acquisition will allow SI to take advantage of Brightly’s well-established cloud capabilities across core industries – education, public infrastructure, healthcare and manufacturing – and put them to work serving its digital and software expertise.
Siemens thus expects to achieve significant synergies between Brightly’s capabilities and its own portfolio.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, with expected closing in calendar year 2022.
