Sifu exceeds one million sales in less than a month

Whether we knew how to tame it or whether it made us run away, the brutal difficulty of this beat’em up inspired by Asian action cinema is already an integral part of its trajectory, which also amounts to 10 million hours played. Pending the appearance of new options that are supposed to make the game more accessible, the players’ margin for progress remains significant: only 45% have reached the second level, the boss of which still represents a major obstacle. And out of a million players, just over 150,000 can claim to have mastered their subject enough to defeat Yang, the final challenge of the adventure. Elden who?

We are delighted with the reception given to Sifu, both by the fans and by the press. We set out to create an authentic kung fu action game that pays homage to our favorite kung fu movies. We’re grateful to our fans around the world, but we’re especially humbled by the incredible reception the game has received in China. Our internal measure of success was how well the game was received there, and knowing that fans in China represent the largest segment of our sales outside of North America means a lot to us, as do positive reviews from China“said Pierre Tarno, the executive producer of Sloclap.

As the game’s Twitter account has just announced, the Mandarin dubbing will be available on Monday as part of an update that also includes patches to close some flaws on which the speedrunners can no longer count. This 1.07 patch will also fix a number of camera collision issues. Remember that Sloclap is also preparing free additional content, the nature of which remains to be discovered.
