Prince Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan (42), are currently not only staying in Düsseldorf for the Invictus Games. Harry is also celebrating his 39th birthday this Friday. At the games, the audience present congratulated with a serenade. However, his family has not yet sent him any public birthday greetings.

And that probably won’t change in the coming hours. Harry’s father, King Charles III. (74), visited the Scottish town of Kinross on September 15th. The royals published impressions of the appointment on the official X account (formerly Twitter) of the family. However, there was initially no trace of public congratulations. The king has not yet congratulated his son on Instagram either. Nor did Harry’s brother, Prince William (41), or his wife, Princess Kate (41), take to social media to wish him all the best.

That’s why the royals apparently don’t congratulate

Harry and Meghan had already met at a small preliminary celebration on Thursday Enjoy “In the Golden Cauldron”.. Apparently there was beer, knuckle, Wiener schnitzel, black pudding and sausages. Harry probably shouldn’t expect public congratulations from his brother or father today. The royals had already not congratulated Meghan on her 42nd birthday on the platforms in August. And there must be a very specific reason for that.

Harry and Meghan have not only been living in Montecito, California, with their children Archie (4) and Lilibet (2) since 2020. They also previously stepped down as working members of the royal family. However, only members of the family who officially work as royals should be congratulated via social media, it was said in August according to a report in the British Daily Mail from the palace.

That too “Hello!” magazine now reports accordingly. It was recently confirmed that the royals will not send public congratulations to non-working family members in the future.
