Silent Hill 2 Remake: Leaks and rumors of a demo, will there be a surprise at the Tokyo Game Show?


This weeks, the first images of the remake of Silent Hill 2 of Bloober Teamwhich we’ve been hearing about for a while, have reportedly been leaked, and with them other info regarding a potential playable demo with the mysterious name of Sakura.

Extremely blurry images of what appeared to be gameplay from the Silent Hill 2 remake have been circulating the web lately. According Dusk Golemreliable insider in the field of survival horror, these images come from a first internal demo which is not newand therefore should not be judged too harshly.

That said, higher quality versions of these images have since appeared.

The footage shows what looks like James Sunderland exploring various environments in an over-the-shoulder third-person perspectivelike the latest Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes. take up the fight against one of the emblematic nurses of Alchemilla Hospital.

However, only one image has been confirmed by Dusk Golem to be 100% real: it is concept art by Masahiro Ito, designer, illustrator, and art director best known for his work on the cult monsters of the first three games. from the Silent Hill series.

A demo in the pipes

Another big rumor about the Silent Hill franchise: a playable demo, à la PT, is reportedly being created for the PS5. The demo, named after Sakura in reference to concept art by Masahiro Ito that you can see below, would serve as aintroduction to a new Silent Hill game developed for the PS5. Nothing to do with the remake of Silent Hill 2, therefore.
