Silent Hill 2 Remake is coming out soon and the game proves that it has everything it takes to create a surprise a few days before its release on PS5 and PC. Bloober Team is expected to deliver.
Konami is about to fire one of its biggest cartridges with Silent Hill 2 Remake, starting October 8 on PS5 and PC. For the moment, Xbox players are unfortunately left out, and the game is taking advantage of its console exclusivity to highlight all the technologies offered by the PS5 and thus promise an immersive and terrifying experience. That’s all we ask.
After having cooled everyone down with its clearly not up to par trailers, Silent Hill 2 Remake has finally revealed itself to be extremely promising. When we got our hands on the beast, we were, like many, surprised by the quality of the title, especially by its atmosphere. Silent Hill 2 Remake promises to instantly take us into its universe, and to do this, it goes all out on PS5, as evidenced by this little trailer.
Silent Hill 2 Remake is going all out to scare us
Being a horror game, audio plays an extremely important role in Silent Hill 2 Remake and Bloober Team took advantage of 3D audio to make our blood run cold. Moreover, as a reminder, the PS5 recently had a major update allowing you to customize your own 3D audio profile in order to optimize your experience. No doubt that in the case of Silent Hill 2, it will make coffee.
Of course, the game also focuses on graphics and plans to adorn itself with its most beautiful 4K thanks to the Unreal Engine 5 that we have already seen at work on several games, and we know that the graphics engine is powerful and dazzling. We hope that Silent Hill 2 will take advantage of it as it should, our first impressions during our preview were rather in the right direction regarding the environments, now it remains to be seen what it will give on the final game.
Finally, it’s the DualSense that is put in the spotlight in this little trailer to boast about its capabilities. The haptic feedback should allow us to feel the most brutal blows during fights, as well as the shocks and power with the adaptive triggers. What we hope is that it will go even further with, why not, vibrations to make us feel fear or the presence of enemies for example. We’ll see, but there are some serious cards to play and Bloober Team is expected to turn the corner.
Verdict by October 8th when the game is released on PC and exclusively on PS5 console.
