Silent Hill: Fans are creating a remake on the Unreal Engine 5, first gameplay video

Still no return from silent Hill in sight, despite the rumors and evidence that accumulate over the weeks. We recently learned that Bloober Team would be working on a remake of Silent Hill 2but the studio is already visibly busy on Layers of Fears, announced during the Summer Game Fest. Since Konami is keeping us waiting, fans have decided to take matters into their own hands, with an unofficial remake of the first silent Hill with the engine Unreal Engine 5.

No need to wait for Bloober Team

Eurogamer points out that a group of fans named Codeless Games is currently working on a remake of silent Hill. And obviously, the work is progressing well, since the group has published a first video of ten minutes of gameplay which you can admire above.

We therefore see the sequence of the school which is recreated from the Unreal Engine 5, with all the same the presence of fixed cameras to better soak up the atmosphere and the atmosphere of these decorations.

The result is quite impressive, and we are now waiting to see if the group will continue its momentum and adapt other portions of the game. At least, if Konami does not come and put its two cents in there, as Nintendo could do. with the amateur projects around its licenses.
