Silent Hill: The Short Message, a slightly timid first number for free survival horror

Last week, during the PlayStation State of Play, Konami shared a new trailer for gameplay of the remake of Silent Hill 2 focused on action, but the Japanese studio also launched Silent Hill: The Short Message, a survival horror to the first person free-to-play and exclusive to PlayStation 5.


In addition to the interactive series Silent Hill: Ascension And P.T.this is the first time that a game silent Hill has been out since 2012. A project which undoubtedly serves to test the waters for Konami, which must put its franchise back in the spotlight and attract new fans. Today, the Japanese studio announces that Silent Hill: The Short Message has been downloaded over a million times. A nice number that shows that the franchise still has an audience, but with 50 million PS5s on the market, it’s not that huge.

Word of mouth will continue to work, and more and more players will undoubtedly discover this horrific experience over the days and weeks to come. But fans are especially waiting for the rest of the program, with of course the remake of Silent Hill 2 (pre-order at €69.99 on Amazon And Cdiscount), but also Silent Hill: Townfall by the developers of Stories Untoldthe film Return to Silent Hill by Christophe Gans and above all Silent Hill whose first teaser has already won over fans.
